Residencia Santa María – Ema Chapar Legacy was founded in 1971 through the generous donation of Ema Chapar, with the purpose of creating a place where the elderly could live accompanied, cared for, and in community.

Throughout its history, our institution has remained faithful to the values of solidarity, respect, and human commitment that inspired its founding, evolving into a comprehensive, person-centered gerontological care model.

Since 2014, Asociación Civil Santo Domingo de Guzmán has continued this legacy, strengthening a proposal based on well-being, professional care, and the quality of life of each resident.

Today, Residencia Santa María is recognized in Tandil as a place of care and support that combines tradition, human warmth, and a modern perspective on aging.
